I was playing a stand alone casual puzzle game on my iPhone that really gains no advantage from connecting to Game Center, yet it does.

I recently had part of the playing screen obscured by some stupid round badge with a rocket on it. I tried to see if that was an in game ‘achievement’. Not that I could find. I had to quit the game to get rid of it.

Whut?

The rocket badge is indeed some ‘Game Center’ intrusion likely not germane to the gameplay of that game, and certainly not relevant to my use.

I had to make the game a background item and reopen that tab to gain control and clear it out of the way of my content.
