What the rest of the world now knows is that enough of the US electorate is stupid enough to elect this horrible asshole TWICE, and enough people STILL support him to keep in office up to now -- despite all we've seen and know, on top of what's already plainly obvious to anyone who's not stupid.
The rest of the world will never, to use one foreign official's exact words, fucking trust us again. Nor should they. We've proven we're not worthy.
@PieMePlenty I should amend that. There is a way out of this, but it's pretty extreme, and I don't see us finding the courage for it.
We would have to remove ALL these criminals from office, arrest them, and send them to the Hague to be tried by the international community for crimes they've committed, including crimes against humanity -- the kinds of crimes people were hanged for at Nuremberg. But nothing short of that could ever be enough, for at least the next century.
