Good Morning Worlds.
We are taking Mum shopping this morning.
Then I have to go into Manchester for a staff meeting.
For some reason, they have always managed to provide a suitable lunch for me, but this time they want pizza, so I am taking in a suitable ready meal to have on my own.

I don't know if I will get to do much clearing of stuff afterwards.

Oh well...

Why can't Morrisons supermarket stock properly frozen and stored 'free from' ice cream?
So often, it has been melted and refrozen. Today's chocca (pretend Magnum) lollies were liquid ice cream inside the crushed chocolate coating!

Anyway, I am now hiding at work with Bob Bear, snacks, tea, and a book, while waiting for the first meeting to start.

Yes, somewhere along the line, something is going wrong. In the past, we've had the lollies that have been defosted at some stage, and then refrozen (broken, the sticks misplaced, ice crystals) but these were actually melted when we got them home - about 10 mins after purchase)

This store frequently has broken down freezers. Someone at another supermarket told us that the freezers aren't independent units, but run off the store's aircon or something like that, and modern supermarket freezers do seem to be broken or iced up more often. When I worked in a frozen food supermarket, our freezers were independent units, defrosted on a regular cycle, and breakdowns were rare.

blech, that sounds horrible. i'm glad you and bob have something to keep you going though (and i hope the meeting was ok)

Work meetings are always a bit intense.
Because everyone is very relaxed together there is a lot of 'over talking' in small groups during the meeting.
That is hard for me to process the important dialogue.

i can imagine that being both confusing and overwhelming
