This is a pretty amazing tool: https://github.com/lorniu/gt.el

Translations from within the comfort of an #emacs buffer! A total lifesaver for someone like me that frequently has to deal with Estonian texts that I only partly understand...

@kf Ah, a fellow Estonian language learner? Let's see if I can write this correctly:

Kas sa õpid eesti kelt kaa? Mino... naine? (wife, not "woman") on estlaane, nii ma õpin aga see on väga raske.

@Enfors Ah, another example of the rarified breed of men with Estonian wives 🙂 Nice to meet you!

The only obvious error is it should be "minu" instead of "mino". Tubli töö 😃

Ma elan juba 16 aastat eestis, aga grammatika on ikka väga, väga raske. Ma pean ka tihti akadeemilist tekste lugeda, siis on mul kindlasti natukene abi vaja.

@kf Nice to meet you too! I must confess I had to resort to Google Translate for that. My learning ambitions are way lower than yours; I'd be happy if I could listen to my wife talk to her friends and relatives and understand most of what's being said. Most of them would understand me if I replied in Swedish or English, so I'm primarily going to focus on understanding Estonian, rather than speaking it.
@Enfors Good strategy. I am still following this most of the time, unless the person I talk with doesn't understand English.
