I still have my original AirPods Max ... and looking at the specs, I will not be renewing them. I don't believe for a second that the value and quality of this product is anywhere near the price (579 €).

For me this is targeted at folks who want to feel premium good "because I paid a lot of money for it" and that's it.

Also, corps like Apple currently dismantling democracy around the world do not need the extra revenue.

@iamkonstantin yeah you can for sure get wireless audio quality as good or better for at least 100 cheaper. They won’t do the live translation and stuff, but I dunno how many people use that at all.
@mukmantheorigina Live translation with AirPods is only available in Germany, Spain and France and it's not very good at all :D. I think the whole AirPods concept is mostly "courage" and vibes 😅
@iamkonstantin ohhh ok. Yeah another company would say it works in 59 languages and just think it's weird if they were all awful when people used it haha
@mukmantheorigina Haha, if the 59 languages work as good as Siri... you better have a travel guide or plan B for that live translation :D
@iamkonstantin @mukmantheorigina also, live translation with one earbud in is sort of vaguely socially ok I think, but with giant over-ears on? That just seems super disrespectful to the person you’re talking to.
@cloudthethings @mukmantheorigina Do AirPods allow you to have 1 ear out for translations? When I'm listening to music, as soon as I take one out it always pauses, regardless if i want to or not
@iamkonstantin @mukmantheorigina I believe so! I’ve had one out and listened to news or video a bunch of times. You just have to re-play once it’s auto paused.
@cloudthethings true, that would feel weird for sure
@iamkonstantin Have you experienced an issue where when the earpiece got warm and damp, there was a crackling noise?
@ohjames yes! It happened once and never got away. I had to replace the soft part of the koptelefoon
@iamkonstantin We once had a faulty one and I couldn't believe it was kind of a production error.
