Until governments figure out how to tax sunlight and wind, renewables will be discouraged and oil, gas and coal encouraged.
Mineral resources not only keep on giving through taxes, the amount of profit in exploration, mining and refining adds to business and government coffers.
Once the infrastructure is in place, renewables only need upkeep every 25 years or so …
