Your take implies that the MacBook Neo is only repairable because it’s cheaper to assemble, subtly equating ‘premium’ with ‘unrepairable’. That is simply untrue, even malicious. While heavier components (like the mechanical trackpad) definitely lower the manufacturing cost, choosing screws over glue is just fundamentally good design. (2/3)

@danielmunoz @daringfireball if that were true i wouldn’t have AirPods or the Watch. reality: i don’t care about it. i want impossibly small devices, and i don’t care if they’re glued or whatever. when they’re EOL, I send them back to Apple for recycling and i’m 💯 fine with that.
