Not just in the long term. Consider the #WebAssembly port discussed in #SageMath (groups.google.com/g/sage-devel...) – so many packages not ported yet, it's just not actionable except by CPU emulation (v86). Meanwhile I'm already shipping @[email protected] packages on @[email protected] emscripten-forge.
