I see dudes online say stuff to women like "You think you have it bad? You should try living in Iran."

This makes no sense to me. It's like saying "Why should I fix my leaking roof? At least I'm not homeless."

If something is better than somewhere else, that doesn't mean you can't keep improving society.

That. And that somebody else is worse off than you doesn't mean you don't suffer from your current situation or aren't allowed to acknowledge that you are in a shitty situation.

And pretending all's fine here and now doesn't make life better or less shitty for any of the people who are worse off. Those Iranian women mentioned won't profit in any way.
