Well ackshually, master is clearly a reference to a master record, meaning that master is a branch for releases, and releases only. And main is also clearly the "principal" branch, as in "most important", so it is where the code goes between releases. 🤐
@dkub Years ago I had a co-worker suggest (on Teams) we change "whitelist/blacklist" to "allowlist/blocklist".
I was confused, because I didn't think there was a racial connotation, so I spent about 30 minutes quietly digging through the etymology of the phrase and began a carefully constructed response about how it "wasn't offensive" and "here's the historical context..." etc.
While writing my reply, I stopped and thought, "Maybe this doesn't matter and I should just stfu." and deleted it.
