@chipotle Now I'm curious, is there a way to copy files to/from iOS over USB, pictures/music/documents?
That's something my dad has wanted to do, and I'm not sure if it's Apple requiring iTunes not available on Linux (versus Android doing MTP), or an actual designed limitation. I also gotta remind him to open the Nextcloud app every few weeks because background photo upload will eventually stop.
Otherwise, it feels like most of Apple's restrictions are things developers have to hack around (e.g. Tundra's VFLEX voltage adapters having to abuse USB MIDI as the only allowed USB control mechanism).
@chipotle Ah, noted, I'm glad it's not just me. I didn't know Files handled file servers, too, maybe I can do something with that for Dad. Or see how KDE Connect is going.
On the upside, I think the fact Apple still allows you to install other operating systems on Macs (including extra firmware development effort they could've skipped) is a good policy. I'm assuming they'll include the Neo in that.
