you do realize
that to perform unhinged
it’s necessary
to first become hinged

which means definitions
tracked and agreed upon
as I’ve no desire
to become cabinetry

you’ve that look again
as though I’ve gone beyond
perceptual boundaries
where I must remind

this is a romance
I am not to be opened
or more precisely
not to be opened for cereal
