ikti’m genuinely sorry if this post darkened your day, I don’t like upsetting people unnecessarily and I totally understand that it can be exhausting, but for me, it’s not just politics, there is a solid chunk of the world who want me to suffer and die, and I need to do everything in my power to try and build momentum to remove those people from power.

The pain and discomfort we feel from being confronted with reality can be depressing when we feel powerless to change it, but we aren’t powerless. We can change it. But to change it, we need to raise awareness of the issue, and we need to raise class consciousness. I’m sorry to hear that you want me to suffer, but I’ll take it for the opportunity to help others gain more class consciousness, because that is how we build a revolution.
Literally nobody on this website was unaware of what was in this comic strip, and how dare you tell me under what conditions I feel what I feel?
Maybe, maybe not, but this post has sparked discussions in the comments where people are learning about class consciousness, so IMO, it’s a good thing.
I’m sorry that you’re feeling depressed and I hate that I added to that, and I’m sorry for assuming - would you like to explain what you’re feeling and why? I would gladly be a sympathetic ear, and we could maybe work together to find something hopeful amongst it all?

But I am not feeling depressed; I merely find the incessant deluge of heavy content in a community supposed to be for lighthearted shit to be depressing.
I’m sorry you feel that way, and your feelings are totally valid. I promise I’m being completely authentic, I care deeply about trying to reduce suffering among as many living beings as possible, but I recognize that progress is impossible without some level of discomfort.

It is more than likely that the vast majority of the people in the group shared the opinion of the activist. It came to mind, though a person who Worked at an NGO all day and all week, and wanted to come to the group chat on the weekend to Find out about live music, and they were forced to relive the horrors of their work week. Limiting their ability to recharge. Impacting Their work performance. Impacting lives of those it’s their job to help. There’s also a world where no one ever wants to talk about anything difficult ever, I know. I want to be aware of Of every individual walking the planet And be considerate Wherever the heart demands, and there are very strong Factors Which make it easy to pose a cost-benefit analysis To undermine my point.
