I saw the Moody Blues in Germany, too, around that time. Here is their tour in 1978. I lived in Wiesbaden, so I must have gone to Rüsselsheim. I met friends there who came from Heidelberg :

I was in the Army at Wiesbaden Air Base. I lived "on the economy" as they said then. Lovely little apartment.

@ajlewis2 Nice set up. I did that when posted to Scotland, so much more freedom. I bet you got out and about a lot more.

@ajlewis2 We all had "camp" cars and anyone who wasn't working was usually off somewhere or other.
