I just wrote a breakdown of a nuclear physics paper we published last year over on my Substack.

We smashed atoms together to create a superheated, microscopic drop of nuclear matter. To survive, it has to cool down, "sweating" subatomic particles that then evaporate. 🥵

My colleagues in Department of Physics, Lund University observed the evaporation a deuteron particle for the first time, I did some theory that unfortunately was correct.

PS: I will probably do a post for the other papers of the last year or two. While on parental leave, I cut down on outreach. Now I'm back and trying this substack thing...
