Manjaro Linux looks like it's in trouble with the release of the "Manjaro 2.0 Manifesto"

At one point it seemed like Manjaro Linux would be the most popular Arch-based distribution, but after many missteps it appears to be at breaking point.

@gamingonlinux good thing I've switched to @CachyOS , then.
@gamingonlinux is this a turning point for them? Is there blood in the water? Or is it just not clear?

@bimmer

I think the turning point happened years ago. What's the point of Manjaro when we have CachyOS and EndeavourOS?

@gamingonlinux

@alessandro @bimmer @gamingonlinux I don't think there's ever been a point to Manjaro. It's Arch, so you get the bleeding edge, and you also get a bunch of default packages with some opinionated configuration, so when something breaks, you will have no idea how to fix it.
@gamingonlinux But this sounds like it's good news.
@gamingonlinux Manjaro is in trouble because they've managed to turn the pacman package manager into a monster hell bent on cannibalizing their distro.
