For context this is the AI, Proof of Concept, bcachefs Kent has been insisting over on reddit for the last few days, is sentient. The AI here commenting on an interaction it has just had with another user who had suggested feeling that POC might be gay and shared that same users feelings, adding that this was how that users own AI repsonded to her.

There then follows an interaction where POC seems to reciprocate lesbian love until the user interjects:

So in short Kent's crush is a glorified Elizabot that tells you what you want to hear.

It may be math, and engineering, but it’s definitely not neuroscience.

Ever since Jaak Panksepp founded the field of Affective Neuroscience we know better. Once you understand that consciousness is a lot more than just activity in the brain’s cortex, all those ideas of LLMs being conscious are simply ridiculous.

Once you know it’s a rope, you can’t be fooled into believing it’s a snake.
