I think the person who "invented" the potato is the greatest innovator of our time because they actually tried to eat a potato and were like "OMG what is this raw, hard, bland, starchy mass?!?" but then had the drive and perseverance to try cooking that blob into the edge of obliteration to realize it's one of the most delightful foods on the planet.

@dpp @Alice @hiway So, as usual, it wasn't a homo sapiens who "invented" eating something, it was other animals who figured out how to eat them and observant humans imitated what they were doing.
