As I watch the Academy Awards, I’m pleased for the nominees and winners, but I cannot help but wonder: how was The Testament of Ann Lee, directed by Mona Fastvold, not nominated for *a single* award? It’s truly a gorgeous #film and I encourage everyone to see it in theatres — because it’s shot in widescreen!

(And I’m not saying this because I was fortunate to work on this #movie.)

@aleciabatson Same question asked in this article deploring snubbing of Mona Fastvold’s The Testament of Ann Lee from #Oscars.

The Oscars completely snubbed the year's most daring film – and it doesn't make sense

Oscar nominations are out – there's just one problem...

@Kay It’s a #film definitely made for the large screen — not small screens. Perhaps a subop viewing experience influenced consideration?

@aleciabatson I haven't seen the film and the descriptions I've read didn't appeal so it wouldn't have been in my must see list. Then again I wouldn't watch F1 or many on long list either.

I loved Sinners so I'm glad it won some awards. Diversity of films is good for all movie watchers.
