Something has definitely changed in the past few years where my anxiety-riddled millenial brain went from yay saas, now I don't have to speak to a human to deal with this thing, to fuck saas, give me a person I can call instead of being stuck in broken software for hours
This post is inspired by my accountants, whose fancy portal threw a heart-attack inducing warning that I hadn't paid my bill to the tune of thousands of dollars and they were going to terminate my account immediately. It took me ages to get onto a call (had to pretend I was a new client to get on a call with their sales people) and they just went like 'lol we'll tell the devs sorry about that tho'
