I have 20 years of backend php experience. On Monday I’m starting on a new team doing Ruby on Rails and React. No matter what happens, it’ll be interesting.

#php #ruby #react

@lo_fye how did you pull that off?

I'm a php guy as well, but I typically just avoid the Ruby opportunities unless it's a lesser aspect of the job

@codebyjeff I recently accepted a job at a great staff augmentation company (any tech, any time), and they have no problem training their people on the job. They also offer a lot of time for personal development (like 20% time but on a daily basis) and other perks, which I’ve never experienced before. Plus, they care about their devs and the quality of their code. I’ll walk through walls for them because of that.
