I gave up on email a long time ago. I have over 25,000 unread messages in my Gmail, and I bet less than 1% of them are from people I know. I’m sure I’m not the only one. And it’s a shame, because once upon a time it was an intimate medium fo short or long form correspondence.
I like what 37signals did with hey.com, but it really needed to be a protocol, not a website.
Easy-to-use whitelists are a necessity.
