One thing that I'll say for the Oscars is that it does a great job highlighting to me films I should see. I rarely go to the theater these days, so don't always keep up with the latest. But then I see clips and accolades, and seek 'em out. Only regret one or two (Parasite comes to mind). #hatm

Truth is, when I was a kid, the theater was all we had (along with the annual TV movies, like Sound of Music). We'd go to a movie we liked 3-4 times, in the theater. And then when they got re-released a few years later, we'd see 'em again. #hatm

Again, I feel like an idiot saying this, but I'm enjoying these ads! It's like the Superbowl. There was a credit card one earlier that was clever, but also that Burger King ad was weird and incredible - especially firing their mascot. Obviously still marketing, but felt honest & clever. #hatm

Ooh, I did not about the Devil Wears Prada 2. I watched the first one with our girls when they were teenagers and that was fun and also felt empowering for them. So, a well deserved sequel - not everything is wrong with the world! #hatm

One last comment. The Oscars has been way less political than I expected, given all that's going on. Plenty of vague, general comments, but only a few specifics mentioned, and unless I missed it, no names named. #hatm
