I mean, it's a valid criticism of rich old men stealing as much as they can, so it can stand on it's own, though I prefer with the previous panel as well.
But yes, the whole strip is Shaggy lamenting that there isn't any mystery to the world. Nothing unexplained, no surprises, nothing supernatural. Just... old men stealing as much as they can.

@redsad sadly its mostly men we hear about (elon musk, jeff bezos etc) but there is also billionaire women too such as taylor swift and oprah winfrey, tho u dont hear much bad things come from them (except taylors music i am not a fan)
