It's wild sometimes looking back and realising how much I've always kinda been the same person on some level

Like I remember dancing to the original #MortalKombat soundtrack at like 9 years old and thinking, yeah this is my shit!

Only I wished it was a bit faster lol (and now of course I make #DNB 😅)

This was well before I had a clue what #ElectronicMusic was, but some core part of me deep down has always loved it, and I think that's really cool 😊

@witton When I was 9 years old, my music teacher told the class that we were going to start with recorders. I instantly assumed she meant tape recorders, and imagined some kind of tape manipulation, some kind of experimental sound making--none of which I knew about, I hadn't been exposed to experimental music, but it seemed like a cool thing to do if you're going to play with tape machines.

Turns out she meant the plastic flutes.

I, too, have always been the same person.

@witton This reminds me of a time I came across MTV's The Grind playing 2 Unlimited's "Twilight Zone" while I was flipping through channels one day. That and the soundtrack to Streets of Rage completely rewired my brain back then lol.
@mntyfrsh oh man streets of rage! yes dude
