Recently discovered #niri after seeing if I could get away with a minimal #Linux setup running #swaywm. Niri is such a cool workflow!

I've added waybar too, but it's feeling a little but pointless at the moment. What's the point in a bar these days?

@irunatbullets I followed the same trajectory. I like my minimal waybar but have no need for all the "desktop shell" options out there that are so popular. To each their own though. Have fun with it!
@irunatbullets As for what you might do with the top bar, you can have an indicator that shows how many windows are to your left and right in the current workspace. Also, weather icon, time, volume control/Bluetooth connection indicator. All of these can be handled through other means if you don't care for having them always present of course.

@thetemp I'll have to look into the options. It's feeling like a whole new world for me. All I originally wanted was a light alternative to gnome for my older computers, but now I'm thinking of ditching gnome altogether.

I put paperwm on my main computer, but somehow it doesn't feel as slick (even though it's the original).
