@ChrystyneNovack I was recently in a hotel lobby café where every table had a little bowl with one of these fish (which made me a bit sad). But your painting really captures what it felt like to see these extravagantly beautiful fish for the first time.

@amenonsen Betas/Siamese Fighting Fish really need more space to swim and be healthy - I've seen them put into really small bowls or containers because it is cute or that it is a store selling them and they have to keep them separate because they are territorial. It really is sad - one beta fish needs a 5-gallon tank at minimum.
