@stefan Wow, did not know this was a thing now.
I have had COVID issues, but thankfully I think not "long COVID", more "COVID->Stroke" issues, which are really not nice.
It really is a shit disease.
@stefan Yeh, right now, very few stroke related issues (some typing is still more shit than it used to be). So good.
Biggest issue is fear, to be honest, fear of it happening again, and trying to ensure vaccinated regularly. Can I risk a holiday? A cruise? That is debilitating. That is impacting my life more than anything. I used to like holidays and cruises and am now a hermit.
@revk Yes, I don't have a lot of direct experience with disability, but from what I've experienced indirectly, and through observation, it really is the way the world treats people with health issues that makes a difference. It can be very isolating otherwise.
Still, hoping that you have people you can lean on in your life. Again, wishing you all the best, and in solidarity ✊
@stefan Thanks.
I cannot claim any disability (like "claim" is the right word!)
I would love to have the carefree life booking cruises and holidays of 2019 and before.
I suspect the best I can do is some careful vaccinations, and cautious trips, over the coming years.
I now live in a time I can *afford* such, so much more than earlier in life, but can I afford the risk?
We live in strange times.
