I love a good banh mi, I followed a street vendor once to her various selling places in Dà Lat daily because they were the just awesome. I was thinking maybe I wasn’t getting authentic here in Australia because the Vietnam venture was quite some years ago now.

@feather1952 Surprisingly, there's a very good Vietnamese bakery only 5 minutes' drive from me, in the far-flung outer burbs. They make sensational banh mi. I could probably buy the rolls from them instead of giving my money to people who haven't earned it and don't need it.
