Pardon the basic questions, but with this Plaude note pro, I assume you record with it while it is snapped to the back of the phone right? Even when you are recording a meeting or a conversation? Or do you only snap it to the back of the phone for recording phone calls and file transfers? The reason I ask is because I did a recording here in my living room and we were all sitting within a few feet of each other. I had the Plaude snapped to the back of my phone and it sounded like everybody was kind of underwater when I played the recording back.
@technocounselor No, you don't need to have it on the back of your phone unless you want to transcribe phone calls. You can keep it there if it's convenient though, I often do. You also don't need to have it on the back of your phone to transfer files. It does that over bluetooth and I've done it with the Note Pro in my backpack. Don't worry too much about how bad it sounds, the transcription is what counts and it's very good.
@JonathanMosen @technocounselor Hi Jonathan, I am highly considering purchasing the Plaud Note Pro, however with all the research I've been doing, I gather that the app has a bunch of accessibility issues? I was hoping to get this recorder for lectures or even meetings and then make flashcards out of them.
@roaratron @technocounselor I think you could make it work. The iOS app is much better than it was, but not as good as it should be. But these days I have no problem generating a transcription, and saving the summary in Word format in the Files app, which makes it accessible via iCloud drive.
@JonathanMosen @technocounselor ok thank you, that's good to know.
