P̶L̶E̶A̶S̶E̶ USE ALT TEXT! It's been a week since our Fedi-Punk workshop on di.day. Since then, more users have joined both “our” instances and others. Once again, welcome! When you post images, p̶l̶e̶a̶s̶e̶ pay attention to alt text. The Fediverse in particular strives to be inclusive. There are many users in the Fediverse who rely on screen readers. If you post images without alt text, screen readers have no way of telling users what the image is. This is the opposite of accessibility. So be part of the positive change and use alt text!
