For today's hour of the goat (read: snack time), we drove out to this little bakery near where our rental storage unit is located. It's a chain store and I've been to the main store near Fujisawa Station, but it was so long ago I don't remember what it was like. Turns out: it's really good, highly recommend this fruit custard tart thing. (The cinnamon roll was also good but sitting out on the counter for a bit too long I think, so a biiit dry. Still good tho tbh)

@renkotsuban a) oh my god wouuulldd

b) every time u say "hour of the goat" now i remember that 1 tweet like

"an important thing you have to understand about the japanese is that taking a human life is considered deeply taboo. this belief is embodied in an ancient proverb, [i dont speak japanese sorry], 'murder is illegal'"

@hecleretical omg I didn't see that tweet but it's perfect 💀💀💀

Or like, fansubbers who go overboard with the subtitles, "everything going according to keikaku*" translators note: keikaku means "plan" 💀💀💀

Would it shock you to learn that "keikaku means plan" wasn't sincere and was satire against the kind of fansubbers that do that in earnest?
@TrashBoatDaGod @hecleretical Oh I knew that example was a joke but the fansubbers who cover the whole screen in translators' notes for a simple throwaway joke are very real 💀💀💀
