Bezekium 🐕 🎮 🎵 🎓 ⚽ 🚲Recently I got back into #Rimworld. While I love the game, the DLCs sound unappealing to me, overcomplicating an already complex game.
If I buy one, which one should it be and why? What are your features you can't play without?

I usually play very long runs (12-20 years) on peaceful or comunity builder tho.

@June since my post I bought Odyssey (😻), Biotech (👍) and Ideology (💁♂️).
Are these pyramids and statues part of the game or are they from mods?
Can raids attack basements? Can pawns move freely between the surface an the basement?

@bezekium nope the pyramid, sphinx and all the egyptian (kemetic) styles are part of the alpha memes mod (highly recommended for ideo, brings a shitton of new memes, styles and preceps so you can make your colony even more specialized or just weird)
the basement is actually an insect hive sub-map from the odyssey dlc, one of them odyssey bunkers or even a pitgate from anomly would work too (though for the pitgate you'd need to wall in the boss and keep it alive to keep the cave stable and it keeps spawning fleshbeasts on the surface). I found out that the minify anything mod lets me also minify the cave entrance so I was able to at first move the entrance of the insect lair onto the asteroid (lol physics) and later I just put it in storage and swapped to high tech portals for my travels between owned maps (simpleportal mod). pawns do not move by themselves between the maps i need to pack em like caravans via the cave entrance or portal.
the base in the header is made mostly of steel and plasteel, the golden look is an ideo style from the alpha memes mod (cubic style to properly praise the cube from anomaly).
the gold on my asteroid map is actual gold tho, the map was around 18m wealth at the end lol
