Opinion: Closing the Alaska Native Language Center ends more than a program — it weakens language revitalization

This seems very shortsighted to me. Alaska Native languages are an integral part of our state and should continue to be an integral part of our university.

@kevinwinker @AlaskaWx @ScoterD it is so upsetting. The ANLC was an amazing place. And I worry enormously about the archive.

And while UA officials say that it’s not closing, it’s been mostly dead for years.
