On the other hand, the outcome of the EU Parliament vote on their position going into the Chat Control extension trilogues is the best news I've read in ages. (Only targeted scanning of suspects' communication, which I consider quite reasonable.) And the fact that System 76's CEO is trying to talk sense into the Colorado Senator who proposed age verification on the OS level gives me some hope.
