Funny how the property spruiking MSM will happily run endless stories about “mum and dad investors”…
…but when the numbers show the capital gains tax discount overwhelmingly flowing to the wealthiest suburbs, suddenly it’s a quiet little article buried in finance pages.
Almost like the housing crisis isn’t about renters vs landlords, but about tax policy subsidising speculation.
They’ll never splash that across the front page.
