@aby I totally get this. My boss and my upstairs neighbour are both this person, and it’s so exhausting. You make a little joke to be a human and bring some warmth to a conversation and they’re like “well actually, the post office delivers 97% of the mail within agreed timescales” or whatever, and it’s just… dude. Even if a joke is bad, at least do the “haha, yeah….” thing and move on. I don’t get why people want to make life harder for everyone. Sorry, you opened a wound there haha
