Is anyone familiar with the Lenovo IdeaPad 14ACN6? Or to be more specific: does anyone know of ways to remove the wifi card whitelist for it?

Asking cause with everything going on, switching to FreeBSD or OpenBSD is very tempting but my wireless card (a Qualcomm Atheros) isn't supported on any BSD as far as I can tell, and I'd swap it but Lenovo is infamous for their wireless card whitelists and they even glued a piece of plastic to the wireless card to stop me from unplugging the antenna cables from it.

@reiddragon with any #ThinkPad, #ProBook, #Latitude device the only way to yeet that is with #Aftermarket - #Firmware like #Skulls / #Heads.

  • Unlikely an #IdeaPad ever gets supported tho…

@kkarhan I do have access to the debug options in the firmware so I was hoping that maybe there's something I could do in there

@reiddragon if there's no option to add/remove PCI-IDs then I doubt that is an option...
