@stux some of these new residential printers are a real pita to set up. Net access and all that crap. Just printing seems to be a bit beyond them.

@stux Anytime someone asks me ( a sysadmin ) for desktop support type help ( like setting up a printer ), I simply reply with "You're asking a railroad mechanic about your a hybrid car"

... and, so far, that has ended it every time.

@stux I've actually been having trouble getting printers to work of late. Come without hard ethernet and won't find my wireless for whatever god probably doesn't even know reason.

@stux I *can* set up a printer, it will take me three hours because every step along the way I need to try to find a way to bypass some end-stage capitalist nonsense and then rant about enshittification for a few minutes, but that’s just the process now.
