So, with the whole 11ty/"build awesome" situation, what should I do about my projects that are built with it? A lot of people are suggesting just switching to other SSGs, but I really like my setup.

Can I just "freeze" my version of 11ty so that it doesn't update? Or only install this current version and not any future versions for future projects I might want to make?

@sainthood There will continue to be a free version and Zach has committed to maintain substantial compatibility. He did a Q&A about this yesterday at the Eleventy Meetup and the video of that should get posted today. If you keep an eye on this YouTube channel, it should be up sometime in the next day or two.

@sainthood I'd say wait and see. You don't *need* to upgrade, so keep your sites on 11ty for now and get an idea of what Build Awesome is going to end up like. Zach's stewardship has always been excellent, and I don't expect that to stop.

But it's also reasonable to be wary, and take things slow. Plenty of time in the future to switch things up ☺️

BA won't hit the rails for another year and after that the core of it is still what was 11ty and will still run your 11ty sites and still be free. There really is nothing to worry about.
