Am I basically able to use this app as a YouTube substitute and watch YouTube videos in this app?
Without ads?
If so, does it support auto translate from YT because I sometimes watch Brazilian and Italian videos with auto translate to English

@dfgomes That depends on how you use YouTube. Play doesn't offer full 1:1 parity with all the features YouTube provides, but you can watch videos in-app and follow your subscriptions to see new videos they post. However, you cannot like videos, write comments, or view YouTube’s recommendations feed, for example.
Regarding ads, Play does not remove them, as doing so would violate YouTube’s terms of service. If you have YouTube Premium, you can watch without ads as usual.
@dfgomes Auto-translate (automatic AI video dubbing) is also supported but is disabled by default.
@mactanaka I’m on iPhone 13 so I don’t have AI. Will it still work?
@dfgomes Yes, because it’s a native feature of the YouTube player.
