I was struggling with the isolation of working from home, so decided to add a few hours a week at a coffee shop into my normal routine. I am fortunate to have a community coffee shop closeby, so go there with my iPad, and do a few admin tasks. I can only drink so much coffee, so I also buy a Pay-It-Forward, which allows someone else to have a free hot drink, no questions asked.

It might only be a short time, but the change of locale, exercise in getting there and mild socialisation really helps!

@andycarolan The perfect solution to your isolation and good for you with the pay it forward aspect too.
@alexandra It works well for me! I mix it up with the occasional visit to other places too :)
@andycarolan I love doing the art museum and art galleries too. They're great spaces, relatively quiet, but with plenty of people and of course, all that art too.
@alexandra Ooh yes! That's a great idea!
@andycarolan I've done nearly all the free spaces and then some. Libraries can be a challenge for noise funnily enough, while outside terraces are great in summer.
@alexandra Libraries are bustling places now... never quiet. I tried to work in one when I first got my iPad. But the place has a glass roof, and it was like trying to work in a greenhouse lol.
@andycarolan Also, university campuses are great too. Slipping into their libraries and classes is great fun. I do it all the time.
