#FensterFreitag

The porthole window of a modular unit from Japan’s now-demolished Nagakin Capsule Tower, on display at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. Built in 1972, the tower was a radical experiment in urban living, consisting of prefabricated micro-dwellings that were attached to central cores and could (in theory) be replaced and rearranged as needed. More information and photos in the link in the comments.

Great photo! One of my favorite buildings (sadly demolished)!
@bboyg I didn’t really know about it until I saw this exhibit. Wish I could have seen it back in the day!
“Capsule Tower” reminds me of Akira Toriyama’s “Capsule Corp” in DragonBall 😅
Pre-fab cars and homes, ready out of the box 💪🏻
@MephitisTouch Interesting! Do you think one inspired the other?
Fantastic colours here, such a great composition.
@mamzikorven Thanks so much!🙏🏽
I enjoy the primary colors. I have yet to frame a shot with red, blue and yellow in the same scene.
@FlashF1R3 Thank you!🙏🏽
