I decided to follow Formula 1 racing this year, for the first time in a long while, so have been watching recent episodes of the ‘Drive to Survive’ series to get familiar with the returning teams and drivers. I understand how focusing on the team principals and drivers makes for compelling narrative structuring, but what I’d really like to watch is a nerdy companion series in which engineers talking about wind tunnel testing and strategies for managing the dual power sources in the new hybrid cars.
F1 TV delivers: TechTalk interview with ex-McLaren aerodynamicist Emil Cankaya about wind tunnel development of the new cars for the 2026 regulations.
