There’s a lot more things in this world to be pissed at, but I just looked at what I paid for my 12TB Seagate (not even a good one) HDD in may 2025. $200. They are now $500. I really wish I’d just blown all my money on pc parts last year. I don’t think ever in the history of computing has storage cost been so low, and then MORE THAN DOUBLED IN UNDER A YEAR. And we can be sure, it will NEVER EVER go down again. So fuck all of us who like to own our data. Fuck AI datacenters and oligarchs. That’s all.

The older I get, the more it seems like the answer to life’s hardships are ‘just make more money’ and I’m just so exhausted of navigating a world where this is the necessary mindset to survive…

Literally everything keeps getting more expensive all the time and its constant. Need to repair something? House/apartment/car/computer/phone/body??? That’s gonna cost ya! Need to eat? That’ll cost ya! Wanna relax, whoops, that’ll cost ya!

I’m tired boss.

Yeah, I struggle with goals because every goal ends in “well I need more money to do that”. It makes no sense how once you have a lot of money it takes little more than lifting a finger to make tons more, but to get from hundreds to thousands takes insane effort and is nearly impossible.
