Am watching a documentary on Prime called "Woodlands dark and days bewitched" which is about folk horror (Witchfinder General, Wicker man, Psychomania et al) and I noticed a talking head on the commentary wearing a rather familiar t-shirt ;)

A little promotion for @Richard_Littler and @scarfolk ;)

They're now talking about "The Stone Tape". That scared the bejeezus out of me as a kid!!

Pretty sure that talking head is the director , Kier-la Jannise who is the founder of Miskatonic Institute of Horror Studies and an all around power house film programmer
@PeteLittle @Richard_Littler @scarfolk
I still have nightmares featuring the underlying recording in The Stone Tape.

@sunflowerinrain @Richard_Littler @scarfolk yep, two things I watched traumatised me for life as a kid. One was the aforementioned stone tape and one was a farmyard centric public information safety film called "Apaches" which was shown to me in primary school.

It's online with a brief search. But it's gruesome grizzly stuff. Filmed like a "faces of death" horror movie but for impressionable 7 / 8 year olds!!
