Get ready for 1000km of NIMBYs going to town on this. They’ll warp it, they’ll delay it, they’ll kill it.
Whose fault? It really is the government, by avoiding their responsibility to lead on this they have meandered into every rake that a mega project could have.
I wish they’d just put this thing out of its misery, give Alto the infrastructure assets of VIA and a long term budget to build a realistic and modest set of projects.

@paige the funniest thing I read was the Brockville "consultant" saying that if you're in Edmonton or Calgary you would be unhappy to see your tax dollars spent on this because you don't gain anything from it. I wish they can extend this argument to any infrastructure project in Canada receiving federal funds and see if it still sounds logical.
