this is at my library. does this make sense? is it really more expensive to copy than it is to print?? what’s to stop someone from asking to print 50 copies instead of copying 50 copies? halp. 🤓 (i’m genuinely curious if i’m missing something or if this is as silly as it seems…)

@cupcakefae maybe a copy is more expensive for some reason. More pictures, more grey color needed... did you try to scan and print instead of copying?

i actually didn’t try anything, i just saw this at the library and immediately got curious.
it’s a very small town library and i think i would offend the director if i asked for clarification so i opted for asking Out Here instead. 😅

i’ve gotten some good insights though that definitely help me understand the pricing difference better! i was missing something (as i suspected).
