Imagine if we had Universal Health Care. The freedom we'd gain just from that ONE SIMPLE THING! We could pursue the things that interest us. The possibilities for an otherwise cubicle rat to actually pursue inventing the next clean energy device, or a cure for bone cancer are endless.

@scottymace i am basically all set, no pressure but to get anywhere why not get out there and be proactive, the insurance thing is just what it is, benes at work didn't use to be such a big deal but as you get older your shit gets fucked up - insurance is just a hedge against losing everything in worse case accident or illness #copays #deductibles

@gary_alderson Oh, I feel ya. I've been jobless for over a year, and pray to the elder gods I don't need major health care. If it happens, likely I'll use the dine & dash model. <shrug>

@scottymace i will get discount healthcare or through work - it is 10-15k equiv annually #medacaid cliff to worse off than before
