@tinker Another case of, “what could possibly go wrong?”
@tinker It’s all so stupid :(
@tinker mad world we live in
@tinker We've mechanized bullshit. The growth of LLMs for previously precision-obsessed tasks mirrors the tactics that have destroyed rationality and cohesion in leadership.. the exploitability of errors and confusion is a feature, not a bug. It is erosion of confidence at scale, a wholesale plasticizing of reality so that it can be more easily remolded in their desired shapes.
It's a wave of bullshit so fast and furious there are simply not enough rational minds to stop the flood of exploitable garbage until it's too late and political authority or duty is gone.
The foundations of democracy are being murdered in broad daylight.
@tinker so Americans get to fund this crap as taxpayers, and get to pay for it with increased energy costs, and get to pay a higher price for every product/service sold from those companies incorporating it into their workflow because the cost of that increased efficiency (partnering with xyz_AI company) gets passed onto the consumer. Not to mention those that are paying a sub, on top of all that, just to make their lives easier/more productive. That's one helluva wealth transfer mechanism. It's like a cash vacuum. Let's burn up what's left of the earth so a handful can own it. WTAF
@tinker You know what? Fine. Let Congress destroy itself.

@tinker Depends on who's asking.

It's pretty common for judges to look at intent, and if there's reasonable cause to believe that legislation was drafted by LLMs and not carefully reviewed, they might decide certain provisions are void.

But uh... that's going to be heavily influenced by political views.
